Lent: As a group, we are doing some special activities for Lent in the three categories of Sacrifice, Prayer, and Almsgiving. Each child also wrote his/her own Lenten promises to work on. Please read over the group activities and encourage your child.
Sacrifice We will participate in silent lunch on Fridays. This will help us remember to pray for those who do not have enough to eat.
Prayer As a class, we will pray a section of the rosary together each day. The entire school will participate in the stations of the cross on Wednesdays during Lent.
Almsgiving Each student brought home a rice bowl in their folder a few weeks ago. Please encourage them to do extra chores to earn change to put in their rice bowl. We will collect them toward the end of Lent and turn them into the church. The money goes to Operation Rice Bowl to feed the hungry.
